The McArthur River Mine project involved the design, supply, and installation of 120 new accommodation rooms
and three laundries over three years. The new facilities replaced rooms that were beyond economical repair at
the MRM mine site accommodation village, located about 900 kilometers southeast of Darwin. The project was
phased over three years, with 40 single rooms installed in 2022, 40 double rooms and three laundries in 2023,
and another 40 single rooms in 2024. Each room was equipped with essential amenities such as beds, TVs,
fridges, air conditioning, and bathroom facilities, ensuring a comfortable living environment for the occupants.
Additionally, the laundries were fitted with commercial grade washing machines and dryers.

This project emphasizes sustainable development by integrating environmental, social, and economic
considerations. It includes the design, supply, and construction of demountable buildings, ensuring compliance
with structural, electrical, and plumbing standards. The accommodations were designed to withstand local site
conditions and provide essential amenities such as hot water systems, LED lighting, and safety features. The
overall goal was to enhance the living conditions at the McArthur River Mine site while adhering to the highest
standards of safety and quality.
